Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fix my phone/tablet?
In most cases, yes. It depends on the level of damage and sometimes the make or model.
We repair Apple, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Google, LG, HTC, Oppo, OnePlus and Nokia devices.
How much will my repair cost?
The cost of the repair depends on: 1) the sort and severity of the damage. 2) the make and model of your phone/tablet.
Depending on which parts need fixing or replacing, the cost of parts for each make and model of phone/tablet varies greatly. Check out our prices page or contact us for a free quote.
Is it necessary to backup my phone/tablet before repair?
It is not mandatory to do so, but it is highly recommended. If you need help with backing up your data, or you'd simply like it done in-store, we can provide this service.
What information do you need about my phone/tablet to give me an accurate quote on the cost of the repair?
The model number is the best confirmation to start with. Then, a description of what happened to your device or what is in need of repair.
eg. A1863 - iPhone 8. There are lines on my screen after I dropped it.
What is the difference between OEM and Aftermarket screens?
OEM screens are manufactured from original parts and assembled by other companies. Aftermarket screens are manufactured from copied parts made by other companies.
Are they really Original screens? What does OEM mean?
OEM stands for ‘Original Equipment Manufacturer'. Which means it is not an official original Apple screen. But it is the closest thing you can get. The only way to get the official Apple product is through Apple directly.
What are Aftermarket screens?
Aftermarket screens are basically copies. All the parts are produced independently from Apple. There are no original parts, hence the cheaper price.
Are Aftermarket screens any good?
Not all Aftermarket screens have the same quality. The main problem with aftermarket screens is that there are no set standards to follow. Each company can produce vastly different products. And if you're buying them from eBay, for example, you'd have no idea which manufacturer you're buying from. Fortunately, I source my aftermarket screens directly from one renowned manufacturer. The quality of their screens is equal to that of Apple.
My phone is very important to me, can I trust you with it?
Yes. The greatest care is taken with every device. NB: It is always safest to back up your data prior to a repair, simply as a precautionary method. Parts can easily be replaced, but not your personal data and photos.
I've had a bad experience with a dodgy phone repair before, can I trust the quality of your work?
We are meticulous with all repairs and do not want our customers to go home dissatisfied. From time to time, repairs can go wrong. However, we are committed to providing ongoing support and full replacement warranties. With most warranties being 6-12mths, you can leave the store with peace of mind, knowing you'll be covered.
